What's Covered

Your warranty covers manufacturing defects in materials or workmanship including:

  • Frame cracking due to manufacturing faults
  • Motor failure
  • Battery faults
  • Controller failure
  • Display faults
  • Charger defects
  • Electrical wiring defects

If a covered component fails within the warranty period, Bair Bikes will repair or replace the defective component at our discretion.

What's NOT Covered

  • Brake pads
  • Chains
  • Tyres
  • Tubes
  • Grips
  • Bearings
  • Paint scratches
  • Cosmetic damage
  • Punctures
  • Bent wheels
  • Rust
  • Corrosion
  • Normal battery degradation
  • Damage caused by crashes

Warranty is Void If...

  • Aftermarket throttle installed
  • Controller modified
  • Wiring cut
  • Battery modified
  • Chain removed
  • Brake sensors bypassed
  • Bike derestricted
  • Commercial use
  • Jumping/stunts
  • Wheelies
  • Racing
  • Water immersion
  • Non-authorised repairs

If we believe any of the above has occured, we have the right to revoke your Warranty

All you need to know about warranty

Warranty periods vary depending on the component:

  • Frame: 4 years
  • Motor: 2 years
  • Battery: 2 years
  • Controller & Electrical Components: 2 years
  • Display: 2 years
  • Charger: 2 years

The warranty period begins from the original purchase date shown on your proof of purchase.

This limited warranty will not apply to any Product that:

(a) has had the Serial Number or other identification marking altered, removed or rendered illegible; (b) has been damaged by or subject to improper operation, storage or maintenance or has been used in any way other than in strict compliance with Bair Electric Bikes operation manuals. For more information view the riding style warranty void below; (c) has become defective or inoperative due to its use with any equipment or products not supplied or approved by Bair Electric Bikes; (d) has been improperly handled, repaired, modified, or otherwise altered by anyone other than Bair Electric Bikes; (e) has not been purchased from an authorised dealer; (f) has damage due to normal wear and tear such as worn pieces, all impact marks and abrasions, or tears are excluded from this limited warranty.

To the maximum extent permitted under law, the above warranty is in lieu of all other warranties, express, implied or statutory, including without limitation those of merchant ability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement of third-party rights, that the product will meet customer needs, operation of the product will be error free, or all errors will be corrected, as expressly disclaimed.

Important Warranty Disclaimer – Bair Bikes

To ensure your bike operates as intended, any unauthorised modifications will void your warranty.

This includes, but is not limited to:

• Installing an aftermarket throttle

• Removing or modifying the crank arm

• Using foot pegs instead of pedals

• Removing the chain

• Disconnecting or bypassing the brake switch

• Cutting or altering any wiring

• Replacing or modifying the controller or battery

• Any other electrical or mechanical modifications

Please note: Any changes to the original design or electrical system will result in the immediate cancellation of your warranty.

Yes. Bair Bikes are designed for normal road and trail riding.

Damage caused by activities such as jumps, stunts, wheelies, racing or any riding that places excessive stress on the frame, motor or components is not covered under warranty and will be treated as a non-warranty repair.

If you're unsure whether your riding style is covered, contact us before you ride.

Yes. Unauthorised modifications to your Bair Bike will void your warranty.

This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Installing an aftermarket throttle
  • Removing or modifying the crank arms
  • Using foot pegs instead of pedals
  • Removing the chain
  • Disconnecting or bypassing brake sensors
  • Cutting or modifying wiring
  • Replacing or modifying the controller or battery
  • Any other electrical or mechanical modifications

If you're unsure whether a modification is acceptable, please contact us before making any changes.

Our warranty is provided in addition to your rights under Australian Consumer Law.

You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if they fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

Customers are responsible for the cost of shipping the product to Bair Bikes for assessment.

If your warranty claim is approved, Bair Bikes will cover the cost of returning the repaired or replacement product and reimburse reasonable return shipping costs where applicable.

Products sent without prior approval or an RMA number may not be accepted.

If your issue falls outside the warranty terms, we're still here to help.

We'll inspect the bike and provide a repair assessment and quotation before any work is carried out, allowing you to decide whether you'd like to proceed.

If your Bair Bike is found to have a manufacturing defect covered under warranty, Bair Bikes' responsibility is limited to repairing or replacing the defective product or component, or providing another remedy where required by law.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Bair Bikes is not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special or exemplary damages arising from the use or inability to use the product. This includes, but is not limited to, loss of profits, loss of income, loss of goodwill, loss of use, or any other consequential expenses.

Where permitted by law, Bair Bikes' total liability for any claim relating to the product will not exceed the amount originally paid for that product.

Nothing in this warranty excludes, restricts or modifies any rights you may have under the Australian Consumer Law.
